Parent Waiver and Medical Release

In the case of an emergency involving your child, you understand that every effort will be made to contact you or the emergency contact you provide upon booking. However, in the event that you cannot be reached to make arrangements for emergency medical attention at the time of illness or accident, you hereby authorize My Art Space Studios staff to call 000 to provide urgent care for your child and further authorize your child to receive medical treatment from the My Art Space Studios that is necessary and appropriate.

As parent/guardian, you individually and on behalf of your child, release and agree to hold My Art Space Studios harmless from any and all liability and hereby assume all risk and responsibility and waive any claim or cause of action of any nature whatsoever arising on behalf of your child while at My Art Space Studios or otherwise in the care of its staff. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Art Space Studios against any and all claims which may arise from any injury to said child while participating at the studio. You have read and understand the above policy and agree to comply with its provisions.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

My Art Space Studio holds the copyright to the content of this website including all artworks displayed both on the website and linked social media, layout design & graphics. You must not use or replicate our material for commercial purposes unless expressly agreed to by us in writing.

Responsibility of Parent/Guardian Policy

The following policy reflects our concern for your child’s physical welfare. Please read carefully. We cannot admit your child without your consent to this waiver. My Art Space Studios is NOT responsible for children before or after the hours for which they are registered for class. Children are welcome to enter My Art Space Studio at the program’s stated start time. Supervision however, only covers teaching time and does not include supervision before or after class hours.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Workshops & Courses: A full refund is available if cancellation notice is provided at least 7 days prior to the start of the workshop or course. Please email us to arrange this.
  • Term Enrolments: Refunds are not available once the term has begun, due to fixed costs associated with materials and placements.
  • Drawing Classes: To be eligible for a refund, cancellation must be made at least 5 days before the scheduled class.
  • General Policy: Please note that we do not offer credits for missed or cancelled classes, courses, or workshops.
  • Teacher Illness: If the teacher is not able to be replaced, a credit will be provided or an alternative date will be scheduled. You will be notified by email if this occurs.

Missed classes

Should you not be able to attend a class, we offer one make-up class per child throughout your enrolled term (we can not offer make-up classes for workshops or drawing classes). This make-up class must be scheduled in advance and completed within the dates of your enrolled term. All make-up classes are subject to availability, and cannot be carried over from term to term. You can book a make-up class by getting in contact with us at studio@myartspacestudio.com.au or by calling us on 0493279606.

Behaviour

My Art Space Studio reserves the right to cancel the enrolment of any student, at any time, who displays behaviours (whether intentional or not) that disrupt the learning of other class members or affects the teacher's ability to effectively run their class or workshop. My Art Space Studio requires that children who attend the art lessons or workshops have the ability to engage in the class or workshop without distracting other class members and without needing the sole attention of the teacher. For students who need one-on-one attention at all times, we provide private lessons at an additional cost. Additionally, we have a zero tolerance policy for any threatening, intimidating or violent behaviour.

Public Holidays

Classes and workshops that fall on a public holiday will still go ahead. If you are unable to make your scheduled class or workshop please organise a make-up lesson in advance by contacting the studio. Make up lessons are subject to availability.

Late Arrivals for Term Classes

If your child arrives more than 15 minutes late to a class, they will be unable to participate. Due to the comprehensive nature of each session, accommodating late arrivals is not feasible as it disrupts the progress of the entire class. Should this occur, please contact us via email to arrange a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons are subject to availability and cannot be carried over to a future term.

Late Arrivals for Workshops and Other Classes

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to a workshop or class, entry will not be permitted, and no refunds will be provided. We must maintain the schedule to ensure a smooth experience for all participants and are unable to delay or adjust the session for latecomers.
